Federico Vasen

Federico Vasen specializes in STI Policy and Science and Technology Studies (STS). His research critically examines the governance of emerging technologies and the evaluation systems that shape scientific agendas in the Global South. He is particularly interested in the social, political, and ethical questions these technologies raise in contexts defined by inequality, institutional change, and competing development agendas. Vasen is currently an Associate Researcher at CONICET and the University of Buenos Aires, where he teaches in the Master’s Program in STI Policy and Management. Additionally, he serves as an Assistant Editor for the diamond open-access journal Engaging Science, Technology, and Society and is a member of the steering committee for the Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA).
